From an early background in the insurance industry followed by several years on the insurance board of Carphone Warehouse PLC, Ross has spent the last 22 years working with mobile device insurance across some 30 countries.
As one of the founders of EIP he has helped transition the core business from delivering managed services on device insurance to its position today as a market-leading software provider. Ross relaxes in his spare time by watching back episodes of Columbo and The Clangers!
Our MD for the past 16 years, a mother of two teenagers and a genuinely good egg! Bernice is a number cruncher by trade but combines that with a hint of IT and Business Development, a generous pinch of management leadership and a healthy splash of humour and resilience.
Bernice's professional career has seen her travel the world which is reflected in her advocacy of promoting diversity across EIP and striving to do things out of her comfort zone! She also hates being called "Bernie".
Ed has spent the last 20 years working in the device insurance industry and has extensive experience in large-scale, multi-country program management. Ed has been with EIP for over 10 years and manages the company’s operations.
Ed grew up wanting to be a professional cyclist, so is still scratching his head wondering how he ended up working in insurance.
Keiron is a techy by trade and has built up over 20 years’ experience building bespoke insurance platforms to support affinity, investment and protection illustration and management systems.
Keiron has been involved from the start in design and build of our EIP Core platform right the way through to our current offerings.
Glen is our 'crayons' guy and has over 25 years commercial marketing experience, the majority of which he gained at one of the worlds largest tech companies. In addition to being our in-house marketeer, Glen works closely with our clients to build and execute marketing and commercial strategies that deliver insurance scheme growth. True to his Northern England roots, in his spare time he enjoys country walks with his Whippet 'Chase'. He also has an unhealthy shoe collection for a man.
Lee has 25 years’ experience in the IT field. He has spoken internationally about cyber risks faced by organizations and implemented ISO27001 at EIP. In his spare time you will find him either with his family or tinkering with motorcycles.
David has 20 years’ experience in the mobile device insurance industry and was one of the founder members of the Carphone Warehouse PLC insurance scheme. He has extensive operational, technical and consultancy experience gained across a number of industry verticals and countries.
David is fluent in Spanish but manages to do this in a British accent. He's also an expert in blind optimism triumphing over experience based upon his lifelong support of the Welsh rugby team!
Simon has almost 20 years in the mobile device industry working in a mixture of operational, technical and project roles in both retail and B2B environments. Simon’s proudest achievement is being the undisputed EIP pub quiz champion (we think he cheats).
With over 20 years in the insurance industry and 10 years at EIP, Jonathan is our numbers guy (although he consistently mis-counts when its his turn for the drinks round) and manages our analytics department. He has an actuarial background, is the ‘go to’ for all things data related and works with our clients to grow their insurance schemes and build actionable insights.
Away from the office, Jonathan is likely to be found hiking up hills with his black Labrador or umpiring hockey in the national league (he now umpires hockey because he’s now too old to play it).

Terry Alford moved to Europe from the Australian insurance market in the 1990s. He joined the UK smartphone retailer, The Carphone Warehouse when it only had two shops and followed its growth to more than 3500 across 10 countries. In 2004, he co-founded EIP limited and helped grow the business into the successful company that it is today – one of the leading global InsurTech providers.
In 2014, we sadly lost a legend to brain cancer. He was kind, smart, patient and gentle. His foundations of integrity, propriety and courtesy are still practised throughout our business today. He was also instrumental in the early scoping and design of the software products which today provide the solid backbone to our future growth and stability.
Never forgotten, he will always be missed, and his legacy remains.
